The following table is compiled
from the 1997 annual reports submitted by the Consulting Rosarians (CRs) of the
ARS Carolina District. The CRs were asked to provide the following general
cultural information in regards to rose growing: Bare Roots vs. Potted Plants,
Fertilization Program, Common Problems Encountered, Mulching, Sprayers, Spring
vs. Fall Planting, and Watering/Watering Systems. Their responses are based on
experiences in their own gardens. Under each category, CRs are listed
geographically by state and city to better help you in determining what works
best in your specific geographic area.
