Charlotte Rose Society

The Charlotte
Rose Society was founded in 1953 to serve the Charlotte Metropolitan
area. Its members provide education, information and assistance in support of
the American National Flower – the rose. |

Bi-monthly Newsletter: The Charlotte Rosebud, a newsletter dedicated to helpful information on
rose culture, news of the Carolina District Societies and the American Rose
Society, information on new roses, sources for roses, detailed experiences of
early growers, etc. |

|
|
ARS Consulting Rosarians: Free consulting on rose-related subjects by our
approximately twenty Consulting Rosarians living throughout the greater
Charlotte metro area. |
|
|
|
Annual Membership Directory: Published
yearly, listing all current Charlotte Rose Society members,
their addresses, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses, when available. |
|
|
|
Annual Garden Tour: Several
members of the Charlotte Rose Society open their gardens to an
organized free tour each May. |
|
|
|
Annual Pruning Seminar: In late February, several Consulting Rosarians conduct
a spring pruning demonstration and clinic at the McGill Rose Garden on
Davidson, near Uptown. |
|
|
|
Annual Rose Show: Participation is open to all rose growers. The Show is conducted each October in a
metropolitan Mall with awards, certificates and ribbons presented. The free Show is presented for the public
to enjoy. |

|
Annual Society-Wide PurchaseThe Charlotte Rose Society arranges an annual group
purchase of essential rose foods, desirable sprays and growth enhancing
materials at very attractive prices. This highly discounted group purchasing
activity saves many members amounts equal to or in excess of their annual
Society membership. |

We
solicit your attendance at any of our meetings. We believe that we can not only help the novice growers get
better established, but can continue to challenge the experienced grower to
